From makes the best surreal indie pop that comes from Beverly Hills. The band sounds like Nico + Kraftwerk on a Magical Mystery Tour, and the blog covers design, advertising, Swedish music, and post meta fun times.
I’m so excited! Mr. Shovel played “One Spring Away” last night! The song ran on Indie 103.1′s local music show, check one… two. I love Indie. Wow. And LA’s got lots of well-supported bands, so it’s a huge deal to get something onto the excellent show.

I love the Timo Räisänen cover of Sugababes’ “About You Now,” so it’s only natural I look back at Sugababes doing a cover themselves. Here’s their version of Adina Howard’s “Freak Like Me” –
Yeah, the “evaluation copy” chyron is annoying, but I couldn’t find an embeddable video with the studio version. Sorry, the live versions have entirely too much melisma, and anyone who’s heard my music would how I about that.

That’s the new Z4 hard top convertible. The shot is from the set Solitary Man, a movie with Michael Douglas movie. Is there a BMW dealership in every Michael Douglas film? Seems like there should have been.

Should From have a mascot? Mascots are fun, as is From. But when you think of music + mascots, the bands that come to mind rock much harder than From ever will.
Megadeath has Vic Rattlehead, a skeletal figure posed to embody the saying “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.” He even has his own Wikipedia page.
Death metal is branded so literally.
