Marcel Wanders – Sparkling and Troy Chairs

By Roni Brunn | April 12, 2010 | News

Marcel Wanders is due to launch some new pieces at Milan Furni Week, April 14-19.  The Troy Chair (above, via) relates to Greek mythology with its pattern, and the Sparkling Chair (below, via) relates to water bottles with its blow molding process (same as the way water bottles are made from PET).  I’m into the generous, toy-like thickness of the Sparkling seat, and I love the traditional pattern embedded in the easy, modern Troy.

Karl Lagerfeld x Coca-Cola Light

By Roni Brunn | April 2, 2010 | News

I read that Karl Lagerfeld always has fresh Coke on hand.  It’s ice-cold and served in crystal glasses.  So this collaboration between my favorite icon and Coca-Cola makes sense.  The Karl-designed aluminum bottle bears his silhouette, signature, and signature stark palette.  The bottles also come in a collectible box with a bottle opener in its own drawer.
