Wow! In the last few days, From’s been in two great blogs and on an excellent radio show.  Go check out the blog posts, download away, and comment if you would.  It’s super cool for such an unknown band to get written about, so in appreciation, here’s a rundown:

Pretty Much Amazing!

PMA! features the best of cool music.  It’s usually upbeat, and it’s eclectic enough to span GaGa to Phoenix.  Such an honor to lead this post – there’s lots of great music with From.  And the photos that go with From were my fav on the page, so go check them out at PMA!!

MOSSIP

What?  The post on From follows an entry on Jay Z.  Insanity.  I’m so excited!  Mossip is super good.  There’s Kanye, The Gossip, Beyonce, all mixed with obscure bands.  Add it to your reader!

“Roni Brunn, founder and lead singer of the indie-pop band From grew up in Israel, went to high school in Beverly Hills, and graduated from Harvard with a major in economics. After college she launched a line of high end handbags that sold around the world and appeared in magazines and TV shows. She also created LA’s Math-Club, a social organization for young Hollywood and the brightest math minds. If that’s not enough, she also worked as a web developer and has created sites for Ringo Starr and Justin Timberlake.

Here I have with me for you are 2 songs by this fantastic band/singer are “Dream With You” and “One Spring Away”. I love her voice, it’s different but relaxing and smooth. She’s sweet, she’s bubbly, and definitely talented. I’m wanting more!”

Jane Dark’s Cultural Revolution

I was Joshua Clover’s guest on last night’s Jane Dark’s Cultural Revolution on KDVS.  We talked about fahion – topics like Anna Wintour, Bruno, mini skirts, sexual identities, and art.  It was so fun.  He’s brilliant.  I’ll put up streams later this week.  Check out jane dark’s sugarhigh!
