While the fall seasons tend to set the serious direction for silhouette, it’s spring collections that get to have more fun.  Here are some obscenely fun handbag charms from Vuitton’s spring 2010 range.  I guess the proposition for these is recession driven.  If you can’t buy a whole ridiculous spring bag, you might be tempted to squeeze a charm out of your budget.

I’m seeing optimism in these bright, impractical accessories.  At the first signs of the recession, fashion houses wouldn’t release objects that were so flagrantly consumerist, opting for safe basics instead.  I guess it’s starting to be okay to wear new stuff again.  I hope people won’t go nuts with status symbols this time because I can lose track of what’s realistic.

Design-wise, I love the square hardware at the top of the tassels that hang off the fox tails.

The fashion show looked vaguely like a luxe take on current Brooklyn x 90s Seattle.  If you wanna be a hipster parody, these are crucial for your look. Here’s a look from the spring runway:
