mid century modern McDonald’s in Palm Springs
A new, modern McDonald’s opened this summer in Palm Springs, mecca of mid-century residential architecture. Smoke Tree Commons shopping center in Palm Springs. Palm Springs architect James Cioffi designed it, and the interiors were done by Duane Ahmet of D S A Design Systems, Ltd. in Burbank, CA.
Kinda brings back the old arches and angles. Here’s a vintage McDonald’s in Florida:
Of course, plenty of European McDonald’s have Eero Saarinen chairs and clean design. More on that later.
