Nendo – Fadeout Chair

Japanese Canadian architect Oki Sato’s firm nendo creates design projects in architecture, interiors, graphics, furni/products, and even events. Its Fadeout chair’s simple drama makes sense coming from such an interdisciplinary company.
The chair appears to be hovering on a foggy cloud. The back and seat are wood, and the clear acrylic legs are painted with trompe l’oeil wood grain. Easier than bringing in a smoke machine to set the mood for dinner parties.
