Tonight!

By Roni Brunn | December 2, 2009 | From, News

paul-in-From-shirtHey.  We’re playing tonight at Daydream Republic’s Festive Edition.  It’s going to be a fun night with cheap drinks, a great DJ (Jacob Safari!), and the Buttermilk Truck.  The whole thing is free and goes from 8 to midnight:

Daydream Republic
4500 Jefferson Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90016
310.359.2359

The event/our performance got featured on both Thrillist and LA Weekly.  We’re very grateful for the coverage!!  We’re just a little band trying to make our way, and we’re lucky to be part of an event that can get this much attention.

Unfortunately, they were off on some details.  I will buy you a drink for every bit of misinformation you point out, or a super good cocktail if you can also correct it.

Thrillist:

Party: The Rabbit Hole: The Festive Edition
Buy gifts while swilling booze and rocking out

Tonight at Daydream Republic: 4500 W Jefferson Blvd; Mid-Wilshire; 310.359.2359

Soak up free booze with food from the Buttermilk Truck while you make pre-emptive holiday strikes at this extra-festive craft fair, with on-saleness ranging from pop art paintings of Mary-Kate Olsen to handmade drink coasters to ironic tees, with the whole thing soundtracked by The Band From, a band that claims to sound like The Cure, something you’ll have to take their word for, since they’re basically impossible to Google.

LA Weekly:

From

Date/Time:Wed., December 2, 8:00pm

The Swedish band makes its L.A. debut with a free set

Some tips:

  • Park on Jefferson
  • Bring ear plugs if loud music is an issue.  We’ll also sell ear plugs.
  • The show is free
  • Drinks are $2-5 at the cash bar, and the Buttermilk Truck will have breakfast treats, so maybe stop by the ATM first
  • We’re debuting our shirts, as worn by Paul Best.  So def stop by the ATM b/c you’ll want one, and most designs are one-of-a-kind.
